Coaching the Equestrian Rider
Coaching
Coaching, to Warren and Susanna, is about the short and long term development of horse and rider as a combination with the aim of reaching predefined goals or ambitions.
They incorporate modern coaching principles with thirty five years coaching experience to maximise your development and, ultimately, performance.
The improved coaching knowledge that comes with the UK Coaching Council Level III qualification that Warren has with British Showjumping and British Eventing (Warren is one of the only people in the country to have both qualifications) and you have high level training applicable to all levels. Warren is now studying for his MSc Coaching Science at Hartpury to help further his coaching skills.
With their experience across the disciplines they are uniquely aware of the riders technique and how this influences the horses performances. They are able to develop the work in the dressage arena and then carry this through to improved work over a fence, be it show jumping or cross country.
Having coached riders from novice levels through to International riders at major competitions, Warren and Susanna are able to tailor their approach to suit the individual riders and their requirements.
Prices start from £30 for a group lesson, £40 for a semi-private (1hr), and £50 for a private (45mins but warm up before the lesson). Cross country group lessons are £40 for no more than four riders for up to an hour and a half.
Prices at Cholderton indoor are £40 for a group, £50 for a semi-private and £60 for a private.
Warren runs regular clinics at Enborne Equestrian (near Newbury), Churchbrook Farm (Tadley), Cholderton (Andover), and cross-country venues like Boomerang, Tweseldown, Larkhill and Lyneham Heath amongst others.
Special clinics are run from time to time covering areas such as video analysis, sports psychology, and competition simulation days.
Additional charges for venue hire vary with venues.
Contact Warren and Susanna via the contacts page to go on the mailing list or make an enquiry. Lessons can be arranged outside of the clinics.
