Warren and Susanna
Show Jumping Trainer in Newbury

Warren is an Australian rider who came to the UK in 1996 as a rider for Mark Todd. He workded with the Todd's for two years, finishing as yard/farm manager. He then worked for Blyth Tait before setting up on his own. In 1997 he bought his Australian Thoroughbred Bootlegger to the UK and in 1999 finished 9th at his first Burghley CCI****. As a result they were listed for the Australian team for the Sydney Olympics. Unfortunately injury curtailed Bootleggers career.
Warren has competed dressage, show jumping and eventing extensively throughout Australia, New Zealand and Malaysia, including jumping at the Australian Showjumping Championships and various World Cup Shows. He also competed at the Australian Dressage Championships, winning his classes.
In 2006 Warren and Susanna moved to Hamstead Marshall, near Newbury, to set up a new business. They started with unbroken three and four year old horses and have produced them through. All the horses of their own that Warren now rides internationally are ones they have broken in and produced.
Horses that Warren has produced in the UK include Happy Times (top picture), now ridden by Sam Griffiths at Badminton, Burghley and the 2010 World Championships. Warren also produced Cregwarrior (bottome picture with Warren at Blenheim CCI***), who was later ridden for Ireland and around Badminton by Jonty Evans.
Susanna Aromando was born in England and was in the young riders squad for GB. She now rides dressage for Italy as a result of her Italian father. She has trained extensively in Germany with Conrad Shumacher, George Theoderescu and Rudolf Zeilinger. She has previously been based in the UK with Sandy Philips and Emile Faurie. Susanna won the British International Young Dressage Horse Championships with her current advanced horse Von Velten.
